LinkedIn has unveiled a new AI job search tool designed to revolutionize the way users find job listings. The updated search bar now allows users to search for jobs by describing their perfect role in natural language. For example, users can enter queries like “find me entry-level brand manager roles in fashion” or “jobs for analysts who love sustainability challenges,” and get tailored results that match their descriptions.
How LinkedIn’s AI-Powered Job Search Works
This new feature aims to offer job seekers more flexibility than the traditional search filters available on LinkedIn, which limit users to location, industry, and role. With the LinkedIn AI job search, users can now find job postings based on specific skills and interests without manually sifting through multiple listings.
Rather than typing in broad job titles or filtering by location and industry, users can describe the kind of role they’re looking for. For instance, someone might say, “I want to work as a marketing manager in a tech company” or “find me jobs that match my sustainability expertise,” and the AI tool will provide relevant job postings based on these descriptions.
Zara Easton, a LinkedIn career expert, shared her thoughts on the new feature in a company press release: “AI is changing the way we work, and job search on LinkedIn will completely change the way people find their next opportunity.” Easton emphasized that the goal is to better align job seekers’ skills, interests, and aspirations with suitable job roles, helping them discover new careers or opportunities that they may not have found using traditional search methods.
Availability and Rollout of the New LinkedIn Job Search Feature
Currently, the AI-powered job search feature is available in English to all LinkedIn Premium subscribers. The feature is expected to roll out for all users who have their language settings set to Global English by the end of this week.
This shift in job search functionality highlights how AI can be leveraged to improve user experience, making the search process more intuitive and personalized. By using natural language descriptions, the LinkedIn AI job search offers a more dynamic and user-friendly approach compared to standard search filters.
As more users gain access to this tool, it’s expected to change how job seekers interact with LinkedIn, allowing them to find roles that are a better match for their skills and career goals.
