Nexthop AI, an artificial intelligence infrastructure startup, has secured $110 million in fresh funding. To accelerate its mission of building custom networking solutions for hyperscale cloud providers. The massive round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Kleiner Perkins, WestBridge Capital, Battery Ventures, and Emergent Ventures.
The company designs tailored networking hardware and offers a flexible network operating system integrated with its proprietary AI. Nexthop AI partners directly with cloud giants, working as an extension of their engineering teams to deliver highly efficient, power-saving infrastructure.
“Hyperscalers need partners who can innovate fast to meet their infrastructure demands,” said Anshul Sadana, CEO of Nexthop AI. “Our model empowers cloud companies to build the most cost-efficient and power-optimized AI solutions.”
By delivering custom-built networks, Nexthop AI helps hyperscalers scale their AI workloads faster and more efficiently. The startup positions itself as a critical player fueling the next wave of AI infrastructure growth.
This investment marks another major move for Lightspeed Venture Partners, which has ramped up its AI-focused investments in recent months.
In February, Lightspeed co-led K2 Space’s $110 million Series B alongside Altimeter Capital. The VC giant also participated in Saronic’s $55 million Series A and Semgrep’s $100 million Series D, showing its deep commitment to emerging tech.
Earlier this month, Lightspeed led Anthropic’s record-breaking $3.5 billion round, valuing the AI safety startup at $61.5 billion. The firm also co-led Reflection.AI’s $105 million Series A, backing a company developing AI systems capable of performing most digital work tasks.
With the new Nexthop AI funding, Lightspeed reinforces its aggressive strategy of backing next-generation companies shaping the future of AI and cloud infrastructure.
