Schneider Electric is making a historic move to strengthen its US footprint. Announcing a record-breaking $700 million investment to expand its operations nationwide through 2027. This marks the largest single US investment in the company’s 135-year history. Bringing its total US commitment since 2020 to over $1 billion.

The global energy management and automation giant is ramping up production capacity to meet surging demand driven by the explosive growth of AI technologies, energy infrastructure upgrades, and domestic manufacturing. By bolstering its North American supply chain, Schneider Electric aims to support sectors like utilities, manufacturing, and data centers. Industries now facing unprecedented energy demands.

Agustin Lopez Diaz, North America Supply Chain Officer, emphasized the urgency of this move: “This investment reflects rising demand for digitalization, automation, and advanced manufacturing. We’re expanding, upgrading, and adding new facilities across the US to strengthen our supply chain for the future.”

The expansion is set to generate over 1,000 new jobs in engineering, manufacturing, and technical roles. While also prioritizing the recruitment of US military veterans and service members. Schneider Electric describes this as a pivotal moment for American manufacturing. Underlining its deep commitment to domestic production and supply chain resilience.

The strategic investment comes as Schneider Electric aligns itself with America’s shifting industrial landscape. Where AI’s rapid adoption and the push for cleaner energy are driving major infrastructure investments.

Schneider Electric Expansion Highlights: New Facilities and Cutting-Edge Upgrades

Schneider Electric is investing heavily across several US locations. Each tailored to address the booming demand for AI-driven infrastructure and next-gen energy systems:

  • Mt. Juliet, Tennessee – A new facility bolstering the medium voltage market and enabling new product lines.
  • Andover, Massachusetts – Expanded labs for testing AI-powered data center systems and a microgrid simulation space.
  • Columbia, Missouri – Increased production capacity for circuit breakers.
  • Fairfield, Ohio – Modernized facilities with software-driven manufacturing tools.
  • El Paso, Texas – Expanded site to scale up switchgear and distribution equipment production.
  • Houston, Texas – A new Innovation Center focused on AI-powered automation and real-time asset visibility.
