The latest cohort of the Future Fifty programme, announced by Tech Nation at an event hosted by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Finance Minister Rachel Reeves at Number 10 Downing Street, highlights 25 dynamic UK scaleups that are driving innovation across industries like fintech, AI, climate tech, and deeptech. The programme has already supported over 1,000 UK companies, including unicorns such as Revolut, Wise, and Monzo, providing growth support and facilitating international investor connections.
This year’s cohort includes companies that have collectively raised over £3bn and employ more than 1,800 people. Among the 25 selected, 18 are based in London, with the remainder based in Belfast and Edinburgh. Ten of the companies are fintechs, and six are focused on climate tech. The companies selected have demonstrated significant growth, typically raising Series B funding, generating at least £5m in revenue, or achieving 50% year-on-year growth.
Here’s a look at the 25 companies in the 2025 Future Fifty cohort:
1. Abound
A London-based fintech that leverages AI and open banking to provide affordable loans. Abound raised £500m in Series B funding and reported £68.5m in revenue for the year ending February 2025.
2. AI Pal
An AI-driven platform transforming customer engagement, AI Pal raised $30m in Series A funding. The company aims to revolutionize how businesses interact with customers using AI.
3. BeZero Carbon
A climate tech company specializing in carbon credit assessments. BeZero Carbon raised $32m in Series C funding and is changing the voluntary carbon market landscape.
4. BenevolentAI
BenevolentAI focuses on using AI to speed up drug discovery and development. It raised $100m in Series C and is pioneering advancements in biotech and healthtech.
5. Benevolent Financial
A fintech startup working to bring financial inclusion to underserved communities. Benevolent Financial raised £10m in seed funding to expand its offerings.
6. Bot MD
Bot MD uses AI to support doctors with medical decisions. With £15m in Series A funding, it helps healthcare professionals provide better patient care through AI-based solutions.
7. Catagen
This climate tech company, based in Belfast, focuses on emission reduction technology. Catagen raised £20m to expand its clean tech solutions.

A London-based AI company transforming call centers with intelligent automation. Chatterbox raised $25m in Series B funding.

10. Contigo Health
